PETALING JAYA: Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad has introduced limited-edition Visa Debit-i and Credit-i cards to mark the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, providing Malaysians with a unique opportunity to connect with the world’s biggest football event through their everyday financial activities.
The launch forms part of a strategic collaboration between Bank Islam and Visa, featuring specially designed cards inspired by the global football tournament. The exclusive designs aim to bring the excitement and prestige of the World Cup directly into customers’ daily lives.

In conjunction with the launch, the bank is running a promotional campaign from March 1 to April 30, 2026, giving eligible customers the chance to win tickets to the semi-final match in the United States.
The promotion also includes premium prize packages for the first 400 cardholders, covering return air travel, hospitality privileges, RM10,000 in spending allowance, and official World Cup merchandise.

According to Mizan, the collaboration with Visa plays a key role in strengthening the bank’s digital ecosystem and supporting Malaysia’s transition toward a cashless economy.

During the campaign period, the bank aims to onboard 5,000 new Credit-i cardholders and 20,000 new Debit-i cardholders, reinforcing its growth ambitions in the retail banking segment.
Cashback Rewards and Travel Protection Benefits
The limited-edition Credit-i card offers cashback of up to five percent on selected spending categories, including online shopping, automatic bill payments, groceries, and dining.
Cardholders also gain access to flexible instalment plans such as GoFlexi and GoCash, along with zero-percent balance transfer promotions for new applicants.
Additionally, the card provides global personal travel accident coverage of up to RM1 million, enhancing security and peace of mind for customers who travel frequently.
Meanwhile, Visa Malaysia Country Manager Previn Pillay said the partnership enables Malaysians to celebrate their love for football while benefiting from secure and seamless payment solutions.
He added that the cards are designed to appeal to both football enthusiasts and everyday consumers seeking convenience, rewards, and reliable financial services.
