MOH Approves RM805,700 Upgrade for Senawang Health Clinic to Enhance Community Healthcare
SEREMBAN: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has approved an immediate allocation of RM805,700 to improve facilities and operational capacity at the Senawang Health Clinic as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen primary healthcare services.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad said RM588,400 has been allocated to the health clinic, while RM217,300 will be channelled to its dental clinic to finance upgrading works, repairs and the procurement of essential equipment.
He said the funding will support infrastructure improvements, maintenance projects and the acquisition of both medical and non-medical assets aimed at improving service efficiency.
Among the key projects approved are renovation works at the dental clinic to provide a more comfortable environment for patients and healthcare personnel.
The allocation also covers the purchase of a new ultrasound machine to improve diagnostic services, as well as two additional vehicles to strengthen logistics and support community healthcare operations.
Dzulkefly announced the allocation through a Facebook post on Thursday.
He expressed hope that the funding would strengthen the clinic’s operational capabilities and enable it to continue delivering efficient, equitable and patient-focused healthcare services.
According to the minister, the Senawang Health Clinic serves more than 220,000 residents and handles approximately 1,000 patient visits every day, making it one of the area’s key primary healthcare facilities.
He said the infrastructure upgrades and new equipment are expected to enhance service quality, improve patient experience and better support healthcare workers in meeting the growing demand for medical services.
