Vortex Companies launches Maverick Grouts as new identity for polyurethane grout solutions
HOUSTON, Feb 18 — Infrastructure technology firm Vortex Companies has introduced Maverick Grouts as the new brand name for its polyurethane grout product line, reflecting its ongoing commitment to innovation in infrastructure repair.
Previously marketed as I & I Guard®, the product range has been updated with enhanced formulations designed to address a variety of infrastructure challenges.
These solutions help stop water infiltration, fill underground voids, stabilise soil and lift settled surfaces.
Chief Executive Officer Mike Vellano said the Maverick name was chosen to honour Scott Peterson, a key figure in the development of the company’s polymer technology.
He said Peterson was widely recognised by the Maverick nickname and played a major role in shaping the company’s technical foundation.
“The new name reflects our innovative mindset and our willingness to approach infrastructure challenges differently,” he said.
The Maverick Grouts range is designed for contractors and municipalities handling demanding geotechnical and infrastructure repair projects.
Products in the series include Maverick I & I for leak sealing, Maverick Stabilization for structural strengthening, Maverick Void Fill for filling gaps and Maverick Lift for raising settled structures.
The line also features Maverick Acrylamides and Acrylates for soil stabilisation and sealing purposes.
Senior Vice President of Coatings and Rehab Materials Matthew Peterson said the rebranding carries personal significance because Scott Peterson developed the original formulations behind the products.
He said the Maverick name recognises Scott’s contribution and influence.
The rebranding is also part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the global infrastructure solutions market.
Vortex Companies said the move will help deliver more advanced and effective infrastructure repair technologies.
