Putrajaya scraps PJD link project

According to government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil, the administration has decided not to move forward with the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link) project.

He stated that the concessionaire had not met six out of the eleven requirements put forward by Putrajaya, which led to the judgment.

“The Cabinet decided today not to continue discussions with PJD Link.

“They have applied for an extension to fulfil several conditions precedent, but this has been declined by the Cabinet,” he said.
The Works Ministry would soon release a statement outlining the situation, according to Fahmi.

A projected 25.4km dual-lane elevated freeway called the PJD Link would have connected Damansara to Bandar Kinrara in Selangor.

In April 2022, the previous federal government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob approved the PJD Link.

The project was canceled, as stated on July 31, 2018, by Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, the caretaker for Selangor Mentri Besar at the time.
