Geotab Expands OEM Connectivity With Polestar Fleet Integration
OAKVILLE/ATLANTA — Geotab Inc. has broadened its connected fleet ecosystem by integrating Polestar vehicles into its OEM telematics network, allowing fleet operators worldwide to access vehicle data directly through MyGeotab without installing additional hardware.
The integration is available immediately across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and supports the full range of Polestar models.
The latest collaboration enables fleet managers to monitor Polestar electric vehicles together with other vehicle brands through a single unified digital platform.
Vehicle information is transmitted directly from Polestar’s factory-built connectivity systems into MyGeotab, eliminating the need for aftermarket telematics devices.
Fleet Operators Gain Expanded Real-Time Monitoring
Through Polestar Fleet Telematics, operators can monitor a wide range of vehicle information in near real time, including battery condition, charging activity, vehicle location, tyre status, maintenance notifications, security functions and climate system data.
Geotab Inc. said the integration is intended to help commercial fleets improve operational efficiency by supporting predictive maintenance, smarter energy planning and better oversight of vehicle performance.
The company added that removing the need for separate hardware installations simplifies deployment for businesses operating mixed fleets consisting of both electric and conventional vehicles.
Manager of Global Key Accounts at Polestar, Emma Knapp, said embedded connectivity allows fleet operators to gain better visibility into daily fleet operations while supporting long-term sustainability goals.
She said the integration gives businesses access to intelligent fleet management tools without increasing operational complexity.
Supports Growing EV Adoption In Commercial Fleets
Vice President OEM Global at Geotab Inc., Christoph Ludewig, said OEM telematics is becoming increasingly important as more organisations transition towards electric mobility solutions.
According to him, fleet operators managing both EVs and internal combustion engine vehicles require consolidated platforms that can provide consistent visibility across different vehicle technologies.
He noted that Polestar’s connected vehicle architecture is particularly suited for fleet operators accelerating their transition to electric vehicles.
Polestar joins a growing Geotab OEM telematics network that already includes automotive manufacturers such as BMW Group, Ford, Stellantis, Volkswagen Group and Volvo Cars.
The network currently covers more than 80 per cent of leading global vehicle manufacturers by fleet market share.
Fleet operators can activate the Polestar integration directly through the Geotab Marketplace or by contacting authorised Geotab representatives.
The partnership reflects broader industry trends towards digital fleet management, connected mobility and increased electrification across the commercial transport sector.
