EC Gazettes April 2026 Electoral Roll With Over 39,000 New Automatic Voters Under Undi18
PUTRAJAYA: The Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (EC) has gazetted the April 2026 Supplementary Electoral Roll (DPT BLN4/2026), which includes 39,111 Malaysians aged 18 and above who were automatically registered as new voters under the Undi18 initiative and automatic voter registration system.
EC secretary Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus said the newly registered voters consisted of citizens who turned 18 between April 1 and April 30 this year.
He said the supplementary electoral roll, which was verified on May 20 and officially gazetted today, also recorded 15,880 registered voters who changed their constituencies.
In addition, another 1,369 voters updated their voter categories or registration status during the same period.
“DPT BLN4/2026 will be open for public review for 30 days starting today until June 19, 2026,” he said in a statement.
According to him, the EC is urging eligible citizens as well as voters who applied for changes to their electoral information to verify their details in the supplementary roll.
Checks can be conducted through the official Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya portals at mysprsemak.spr.gov.my and spr.gov.my, as well as through state election office websites.
Members of the public may also use the MySPR Semak mobile application or contact the EC hotline for further information regarding their voter registration status.
Khairul Shahril said voters whose names are not listed in DPT BLN4/2026 may submit claims by filling in Form C either online or at the relevant state election office.
Meanwhile, registered voters who wish to object to the inclusion of voters transferred into certain constituencies may file objections using Form D.
He added that both forms can also be downloaded through state election office portals and submitted together with the required objection fee throughout the review period.
Malaysia’s automatic voter registration system under Undi18 has been widely viewed as a major step in expanding youth participation in the country’s democratic process.
The initiative has significantly increased the number of young voters since its implementation several years ago.
With more than 39,000 newly registered voters added this round, Malaysia’s electoral roll continues to grow amid expectations of future state elections and preparations leading up to the country’s next general election.
