Dominic Confident Perikatan Nasional Wins in Kuala Kubu Bharu Despite BERSATU Candidate
Kuala Kubu Bharu: Gerakan President, YB Senator Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau, is confident that Perikatan Nasional will win the Kuala Kubu Bharu N6 State Assembly by-election. This victory will be achieved based on the selection of the right candidate and Perikatan Nasional’s continuous efforts to support the people of Kuala Kubu Bharu.
Previously, Gerakan Party expressed its intention to field a candidate in the Kuala Kubu Bharu N6 State Assembly by-election. However, the Chairman of PN Selangor, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, stated that PN would only field candidates capable of garnering more support and winning in this election.
“In the selection process for PN’s candidate in the Kuala Kubu Bharu by-election, Gerakan Party also provided a list of candidates to represent PN in this by-election. We found that Bersatu also has candidates willing to contest.”
The Perikatan Nasional Supreme Council has held a special meeting with the Chairman of Perikatan Nasional, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, to determine PN’s representative in this Kuala Kubu Baru by-election.
“After assessment and selection, we have agreed that a local candidate from Bersatu is the most suitable, best, and excellent choice.”
“Therefore, we unanimously agreed that the Bersatu candidate will represent Perikatan Nasional in this by-election, despite Gerakan’s expressed interest.”
Although Perikatan Nasional suffered defeat in the previous State Election, PN service centers have been maintained to continue serving the voters in Kuala Kubu Bharu.
“This is different from the other side; many YBs have won but people don’t see them!”
According to Dr. Dominic, the absence of previous assembly members in the area has made it difficult for the community to report local issues and has also left them without a place to turn to for hope.
Furthermore, Dr. Dominic also stated that Perikatan Nasional’s advantage in this by-election is its commitment to continuing welfare programs in Kuala Kubu Bharu.
“We know the people are struggling, money is tight. Therefore, with the assistance we provide to them, such as free eggs, free vegetables, and free petrol, these are the programs we will maintain.”
Dr. Dominic has also joined other Perikatan Nasional leaders in stating that this Kuala Kubu Bharu by-election is a referendum on the unity government.
“Moreover, we consider this by-election a referendum, a referendum showing the people’s dissatisfaction with the unity government or the current civil government.”
