KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 – Singer and influencer Athalia has come forward with further details about an incident that sparked public attention, involving a man believed to be the husband of a well-known celebrity.
The 23-year-old said she initially chose to remain silent when the issue surfaced, hoping to avoid unnecessary controversy and misinterpretation.
“I didn’t know my mother would post about it. When it became public, I decided to stay quiet at first,” she said.

According to Athalia, her interaction with the man began casually, with conversations centred around his child.

“Some even apologised when they had done nothing wrong. It shows how easily things can be misunderstood,” she said.

While the alleged harassment has since stopped, Athalia said the situation left an emotional impact, particularly when the man’s family reached out.
What affected her most was learning that his child had asked about her well-being.
“That was the most touching part — his child asking if I was okay,” she said.

Moving forward, Athalia is focusing on completing her psychology degree while exploring opportunities in hosting and acting.
