KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has been advised to retire from politics after various parties labelled him a failed minister and a liability to his own party.
Political activist Faizan Mohd Nor said that the former PKR Deputy President was also known as the ‘king of the formula’ who failed, besides claiming that many Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporters felt deceived by the promises made by Rafizi before the 15th General Election (GE15).
He claimed that, while he was Minister of Economy, the implementation of the Main Data Program (PADU) was also deemed a failure, with a cost involving government expenditure of RM85.27 million.
“It would be better for Rafizi to return to the corporate world than continue to be involved in politics which will only further highlight his failures as a politician,” he claimed in a statement today.
Faizan also claimed that Rafizi’s previous criticism of the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) resulted in Malaysia not having large-scale cattle farms and still relying on imports from abroad.
Previously, National Unity Advisory Council (MPPN) member, Prof Tajuddin Rasdi, claimed Rafizi was a liability to PH and national politics, while the Justice Youth Force (AMK) described him as a hypocrite.
PKR founder Lum Yong also described Rafizi as a failed minister.
The claim was also, according to reports, supported by Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan who had previously expressed the same view.
