SprintRay Introduces Breakthrough Chairside 3D Printing Technology to Advance Modern Dentistry

LOS ANGELES — Global dental technology leader SprintRay has unveiled its latest chairside 3D printing innovations, marking a significant step forward in modern dental treatment and same-day care.

The new technology was showcased at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting 2026, where SprintRay presented its upgraded Midas Digital Press platform along with new materials for its Pro 2 printer.

These advancements enable dental professionals to produce multiple restorations, including crowns, veneers, and temporary dental appliances, directly in their clinics.

This approach significantly reduces treatment time compared to traditional workflows.

SprintRay CEO Amir Mansouri said the new technology represents a major advancement in digital dentistry.

He explained that chairside manufacturing allows clinicians to deliver faster and more efficient treatments.

“The ability to produce multiple restorations in one visit improves clinic productivity and enhances the patient experience,” he said.

One of the key innovations is the Midas Multi-Unit Capsule, which provides expanded production capacity and allows simultaneous fabrication of several dental restorations.

This effectively transforms the Midas system into a complete chairside production platform.

SprintRay also introduced Precision Guide, a next-generation surgical resin designed to improve procedural accuracy.

The material enhances clinical precision and ensures consistent performance.

Another important innovation is SportsGuard, a specialised resin used to create customised sports mouthguards.

The technology enables dental practices to design and produce personalised mouthguards in a single appointment.

This replaces traditional manufacturing methods that require longer turnaround times.

The innovation is expected to expand opportunities in preventive and sports dentistry.

To support adoption, SprintRay announced the Midas World Tour, a global training programme for clinicians.

The tour will cover more than 30 cities worldwide starting in March 2026.

The initiative aims to help dental professionals integrate digital manufacturing into their daily practice.

Experts believe these innovations represent a major milestone in the evolution of digital dentistry and future clinical care.
