CreateAI Launches ‘Heroes of Jin Yong’ Gameplay Trailer, Bringing Wuxia Heritage to Global Gamers
SAN DIEGO / BEIJING, Feb 1, 2026 — CreateAI Holdings Inc has unveiled the first official gameplay trailer for its upcoming title, Heroes of Jin Yong, reinforcing its ambition to introduce wuxia heritage to international audiences through interactive entertainment.
Featuring real in-game footage, the trailer offers an early glimpse into the game’s expansive open world, martial arts combat system, environmental design, and cinematic storytelling.
According to CreateAI, the project represents more than a commercial game launch. It is part of a broader strategy to revitalise classic Chinese literature and adapt it for a digitally connected global generation.
Rooted in the legendary works of Jin Yong, wuxia has long been a cultural pillar in China, reflecting ideals such as courage, justice, loyalty, and social responsibility. These universal values are seen as key to the game’s global appeal.
‘Heroes of Jin Yong’ integrates narratives from several iconic novels, including The Legend of the Condor Heroes, The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, and The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, merging them into a unified open-world experience.
This structure allows players to explore diverse regions, interact with legendary characters, and shape personalised storylines within a richly detailed universe.
The gameplay trailer highlights fluid close-combat mechanics, emphasising dodging, blocking, and counterattacks to create a more strategic and immersive fighting experience.
To enhance authenticity, the development team conducted extensive field research across China and digitally recreated more than 100 real-world locations and historical landmarks.
Production is supported by a 2,000-square-metre in-house motion capture studio, enabling high-quality animation, realistic character movement, and cinematic presentation.
At a private showcase in Beijing, veteran game producer Koji Igarashi praised the project’s progress and noted its potential to serve as a cultural bridge between Eastern storytelling and Western gaming audiences.
The game’s soundtrack is composed by Cai Zhizhan, who previously worked on the 1996 Jin Yong title, reconnecting the franchise with longtime fans.
Co-founder and executive producer Chen Mo said the game aims to revive the spirit of wuxia in a modern format that resonates with both traditional fans and new players.
CreateAI added that ‘Heroes of Jin Yong’ forms part of its long-term plan to expand Chinese intellectual properties globally through games and animation.
