Amflow Unveils TL Carbon SUV E-Bike Built for Mountain Trails, Touring and Everyday Riding
SHENZHEN: Chinese premium electric bicycle manufacturer Amflow has expanded beyond the traditional electric mountain bike market with the launch of the TL Carbon, an all-new SUV e-bike designed to tackle everything from rugged mountain trails to urban commuting and long-distance touring.
The TL Carbon marks the company’s first venture outside the eMTB segment and represents its ambition to create a versatile electric bicycle that combines advanced technology, powerful performance and practical everyday usability.
Powered by the Avinox drive system, the TL Carbon is aimed at riders seeking a single bike capable of handling a wide range of riding scenarios, including off-road adventures, city exploration and cargo hauling.
One of the bike’s key selling points is its lightweight construction. The TL Carbon weighs as little as 22.6 kilograms, while its full-carbon frame weighs just 2.9 kilograms, allowing the bike to remain agile and responsive despite its rugged capabilities.
Amflow said the frame geometry was designed to prioritise rider comfort and utility, making it suitable for users of varying heights, strengths and riding styles.
To improve handling and comfort, the company partnered with suspension specialist FOX to develop an exclusive full-suspension setup.
The bike features 120mm of front travel and 105mm of rear travel, enabling it to absorb bumps efficiently while maintaining traction and stability across uneven terrain.
According to FOX Senior Manager of Product Management Adam Marriott, the suspension package was engineered specifically for the demands of modern SUV e-bikes.
He said the FOX AWL fork and FLOAT rear shock provide a balance of comfort, control and traction, giving riders greater confidence whether they are navigating mountain trails or carrying cargo on long-distance rides.
The TL Carbon also offers several wheel configurations, including full 27.5-inch, full 29-inch and mullet setups, allowing riders to customise the bike according to different terrain requirements.
Its adjustable head tube angle further enhances versatility, giving riders the option of a more relaxed geometry for improved descending stability.
Amflow has equipped the bike with a wide range of accessories as standard, including front and rear mudguards, a rear rack, water bottle cage, pedals, headlights and taillights.
An optional front rack is also available, while users who prefer a more traditional off-road setup can remove the racks and mudguards to transform the TL Carbon into a lighter mountain bike.
The SUV e-bike is designed with practicality in mind and can carry up to 200 kilograms of total weight, including the rider, luggage and accessories.
Its front rack supports loads of up to 20 kilograms, while the rear rack can carry as much as 27 kilograms, making it suitable for touring, cargo transportation and daily commuting.
Power comes from the Avinox M2 motor, which delivers a maximum torque of 125Nm and peak power output of 1,100 watts.
Despite its impressive performance, the motor operates at noise levels as low as 45dBA thanks to its helical gear design.
The TL Carbon comes standard with a removable 800Wh battery capable of delivering up to 172 kilometres of range.
Customers can also choose a 600Wh battery or pair either option with a newly introduced 480Wh secondary battery to achieve a total energy capacity of up to 1,280Wh.
Another major innovation is the SmoothShift Electronic Shifting system developed jointly with TRP Cycling.
The technology allows smooth electronic gear changes while intelligently reducing torque during shifts to protect drivetrain components and improve riding comfort.
The TL Carbon is also integrated with the Avinox Ride app, which includes offline navigation, smart heart-rate assistance, camera connectivity and compatibility with Apple’s Find My feature for location tracking.
Amflow said the TL Carbon will make its public debut at Eurobike 2026 in Frankfurt beginning June 24, with global availability expected later this year.
