EZVIZ Introduces EP8 Ultra Smart Doorbell With Dual-Lens Cameras and AI Interactive Screen
HOOFDDORP, Netherlands: EZVIZ has expanded its smart home portfolio with the launch of the EP8 Ultra, an advanced video doorbell that combines dual-lens technology, pre-roll recording and an AI-powered interactive screen to enhance both home security and user experience.
The latest addition reflects the company’s ongoing push to create smart entry solutions that go beyond conventional security by offering more intuitive and human-centred interactions.
According to EZVIZ, the EP8 Ultra was designed to address common limitations found in traditional video doorbells, particularly restricted viewing angles and the inability to monitor objects placed near the entrance.
The device features a 3K+ primary camera that captures detailed images of visitors standing at the door, while a secondary 1080p camera focuses on the ground area to monitor packages and other objects left outside.
By combining two separate lenses, the EP8 Ultra provides a broader and more comprehensive view of the entrance, allowing users to understand situations more clearly without relying on a single perspective.
The doorbell also incorporates pre-roll recording technology, enabling it to capture footage moments before motion is detected.
This feature helps users gain a fuller understanding of events and reduces the risk of missing important moments due to delayed recordings.
EZVIZ Go-To-Market lead Sandra Zheng said the EP8 Ultra was developed in response to changing consumer expectations for technology that is both intelligent and approachable.
“We are seeing increasing demand for technology that offers not only advanced features but also warmth and convenience.
“With the EP8 Ultra, we want users to enjoy hassle-free protection and experience the practical benefits of smart technology in everyday life,” she said.
One of the product’s standout features is its built-in AI interactive screen, which EZVIZ believes is among the first of its kind in the video doorbell market.
The display operates entirely through local processing, allowing users to interact with visitors using three virtual characters without sending data to external servers.
Users can also customise notifications for trusted visitors and communicate remotely through two-way interactions using a mobile application.
EZVIZ said the feature is intended not only to improve home security but also to create a more engaging and welcoming experience for family members and guests.
The EP8 Ultra joins EZVIZ’s expanding ecosystem of smart entry products, which includes smart locks, video doorbells and video intercom systems.
The company noted that its innovations have earned multiple international recognitions, including Export Product of the Year at the Manufacturing Asia Awards 2025 and Best Smart Entry Brand at the Plus X Awards, underscoring its commitment to cutting-edge technology and user-focused design.
