Jason Mraz Returns To Malaysia After Seven Years For Highly Anticipated October Concert

KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 — International singer-songwriter Jason Mraz will make a long-awaited return to Malaysia later this year, marking his first performance in the country in seven years.

The concert will form part of his Asia Tour 2026 and is expected to attract thousands of fans eager to see one of the most recognisable names in contemporary acoustic pop music.

According to organiser Zues Event, the concert is scheduled to take place at the National Hockey Stadium on October 31.

The event will mark Mraz’s first Malaysian appearance since his previous visit, offering fans an opportunity to reconnect with an artist whose music has remained popular across multiple generations.

Zues Event director Jeffery Chin said Jason Mraz continues to enjoy a strong following in Malaysia due to the universal appeal of his songs and the positive messages often embedded in his lyrics.

He noted that many Malaysians grew up listening to Mraz’s music and continue to identify with the themes of optimism, love and self-discovery found in his work.

The concert is expected to combine live music with immersive stage production, featuring visual effects and modern entertainment elements designed to enhance the audience experience.

Mraz rose to global fame with the release of I’m Yours, a song that became one of the most successful acoustic-pop singles ever recorded.

Over the years, he has continued to build an impressive catalogue of international hits, including I Won’t Give Up, Lucky, Have It All, The Remedy (I Won’t Worry) and I Feel Like Dancing.

Fans attending the Kuala Lumpur performance can expect a carefully curated setlist featuring both classic favourites and newer material from his more recent releases.

Throughout his career, Mraz has released nine studio albums and earned numerous accolades, including Grammy Awards that cemented his place among the most influential singer-songwriters of his generation.

Beyond music, he has expanded his creative portfolio through theatre, television and film projects.

His notable appearances include a role in the Broadway production Waitress and a runner-up finish on Dancing with the Stars.

He has also served as executive producer for the documentary The Opener, highlighting his broader involvement in the entertainment industry.

Outside of performing, Mraz is widely recognised for his philanthropic efforts through the Jason Mraz Foundation, which supports initiatives focused on arts education, inclusion and social equality.

Tickets for the concert will be available from June 11, with prices ranging from RM158 to RM688 depending on seating categories.

Given the singer’s popularity and the lengthy gap since his last Malaysian appearance, organisers expect strong demand and significant interest from fans across the country.

The concert is set to become one of Malaysia’s most anticipated international music events of 2026, particularly among audiences who have followed Jason Mraz’s career for years.
