Acer Malaysia Expands Predator Gaming Range With New Laptops, Desktops And Monitors
KUALA LUMPUR: Acer Malaysia has expanded its gaming portfolio with the introduction of the latest Predator series featuring gaming laptops, high-performance desktops, premium monitors and portable displays aimed at different types of gamers.
The new product launch is accompanied by the “Predator Kasi Onz Roadshow” currently taking place at Sunway Pyramid until May 17, offering shoppers instant discounts, eWallet rewards and complimentary gifts.
Among the latest devices introduced are the Predator Helios Neo 16, Predator Orion 5000, Predator XB273U X2 and Nitro PG241Y P1.
According to Acer Malaysia, the refreshed lineup is designed to meet the demands of modern gamers seeking a balance between performance, portability and smoother visual experiences.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 stands out as the flagship mid-premium gaming laptop in the new lineup.
The laptop comes equipped with up to an Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, supported by Acer’s fifth-generation AeroBlade 3D cooling system to maintain stable performance during demanding gaming sessions.
It features a 16-inch 16:10 IPS display with up to WQXGA+ resolution, a 180Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time for smoother and more responsive gameplay.
The device also includes 100 per cent sRGB colour coverage, Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro technology with Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5G Ethernet support, along with DTS:X Ultra audio and Acer PurifiedVoice AI noise reduction for clearer in-game communication.
Pricing for the Predator Helios Neo 16 starts at RM7,299 and goes up to RM9,999 depending on GPU configuration.
For users preferring a dedicated desktop gaming setup, the Predator Orion 5000 arrives in a 45-litre chassis built using 65 per cent recycled PCR plastic materials, complete with a tempered glass side panel and customisable ARGB lighting.
The desktop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 265F paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics and the Predator CycloneX 360 cooling system to keep temperatures under control.
It also offers 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM expandable up to 128GB, 1TB SSD storage and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The desktop is priced at RM14,999.
In the gaming monitor category, Acer introduced the Predator XB273U X2, a 27-inch QHD monitor featuring up to a 210Hz refresh rate and ultra-fast 0.5ms response time.
The monitor is designed to reduce motion blur during fast-paced gameplay and is available for RM799 with a three-year warranty included.
Meanwhile, the Nitro PG241Y P1 is marketed as Malaysia’s first 23.8-inch portable gaming monitor equipped with a 144Hz IPS panel and single USB-C connectivity.
The portable monitor also comes with a built-in kickstand, making it suitable for gaming, office work and presentations. It is priced at RM649.
