Hannah Yeoh Attends PDRM Prayer Service Marking 219th Police Day in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 — The Christian community of the Royal Malaysia Police held a special prayer service at St John’s Cathedral in conjunction with the 219th Police Day celebration, attended by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh.

The annual gathering emphasised the role of spiritual support in strengthening the resilience of police personnel.

Strong Participation from Police Community

The event drew around 600 serving and retired officers, reflecting strong engagement from the PDRM community.

Hannah Yeoh was welcomed by Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) Deputy Director (Forensic/Strategic Planning) Dennis Lim Kwang Keng, who chaired the organising committee.

Prayer Led by Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur

The service was led by Archbishop Julian Leow Beng Kim, who offered prayers seeking protection, strength and guidance for police officers.

The prayers highlighted the importance of resilience and dedication in fulfilling duties to safeguard public safety.

Strengthening Unity Within the Force

Organisers said the programme aimed to promote unity and cohesion among officers from diverse backgrounds, while reinforcing shared values within the force.

The event also encouraged mutual respect and understanding among personnel.
