Segway Debuts Xaber 300 Electric Dirt Bike in US, Expanding Into High-Performance Off-Road Riding

PLANO, Texas: Segway Inc. has officially entered the high-performance electric dirt bike market with the release of its new Xaber 300, a lightweight off-road machine combining advanced electric mobility technology with smart rider-focused features.

The company confirmed that the Xaber 300 is now reaching selected dealerships across the United States following its public debut at Consumer Electronics Show 2026 earlier this year.

Additional inventory is expected to arrive at dealers nationwide in stages over the coming weeks as Segway Inc. expands distribution for the new electric off-road model.

Designed specifically for aggressive off-road riding, the Xaber 300 delivers a peak output of 21 kilowatts while maintaining a lightweight body weighing approximately 187 pounds.

According to the company, the electric dirt bike is capable of reaching speeds up to 60 miles per hour and accelerating from zero to 50 miles per hour in around 5.5 seconds.

The powertrain utilises a specially engineered flat-wire electric motor paired with Segway’s proprietary X720 Titan controller, allowing immediate torque delivery, improved power density and more efficient thermal performance during demanding riding sessions.

Head of e-bike operations Nick Howe said the company wanted to develop an electric dirt bike capable of delivering premium-level off-road performance while remaining accessible within its pricing segment.

He added that the project benefited from Segway Inc.’s long-standing expertise in intelligent electric vehicles, mobility systems and large-scale manufacturing technologies.

The Xaber 300 is powered by a 72-volt, 44Ah battery equipped with automotive-grade Samsung lithium cells and offering more than 3kWh of battery capacity.

The company stated that the system provides a riding range of up to 62 miles under selected riding modes while supporting sustained high-performance riding with reduced power drop during aggressive use.

For handling and durability, the motorcycle is equipped with hydraulic four-piston brakes, fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension systems and a forged 6000-series aluminium frame inspired by the company’s Dakar Rally prototype programme.

Beyond raw performance, the Xaber 300 also integrates several advanced riding technologies including selectable power modes, traction control, regenerative braking support and a virtual electronic clutch system that simulates traditional clutch engagement for experienced riders.

Future over-the-air software updates are expected to introduce additional smart features such as wheelie training assistance, geofencing controls, GPS tracking and real-time rider monitoring through mobile applications.

The Smart Cockpit setup includes a 2.4-inch full-colour TFT display integrated with GPS, 4G connectivity, IoT functions and OTA update capability.

Segway Inc. described the Xaber 300 as an important addition to its growing electric mobility ecosystem, targeting riders seeking a combination of off-road capability, intelligent technology and high-performance electric riding.

The Xaber 300 is available in Shred Velvet and Black Diamond finishes at a retail price starting from US$5,299.99 through authorised Segway dealers in the United States.
