Young man drowned while bathing in Sungai Kedondong

KUALA LUMPUR: The joy of four friends bathing in Sungai Kedondong Batang Kali, Kuala Kubu Baharu, this afternoon ended in tragedy when one of them drowned.

Kuala Kubu Baharu Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander Assistant Fire Superintendent Wan Muhammad Aslam Md Asri said the body of a 24-year-old youth, whose identity has yet to be identified, was found at 12.50 , at a depth of two meters.

He said an officer and six members rushed to the scene of the incident after receiving information about it at 12.06 .

“The body has been sent to the Kuala Kubu Baharu hospital for the post-mortem process,” he said when contacted.

Meanwhile, Hulu Selangor District Police Chief Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim, in his statement, advised the public who want to do water activities to always be aware of the safety of children and family members, especially during this rainy season.
