Turkiye is eyeing cooperation with Sarawak in the high-tech industry, green energy

KUCHING: Turkiye is committed to expanding bilateral cooperation with Malaysia in the high-tech industry and green energy in Sarawak, said Turkiye Ambassador to Malaysia Emir Salim Yuksel.

Speaking to reporters after a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today, the ambassador predicted Sarawak’s potential to realize economic cooperation between the two parties.

“We have introduced two important companies from Turkey to increase cooperation and discuss how we can achieve synergy between our companies and the capabilities of Sarawak.

“The vision of Sarawak (the government) is actually personally very exciting for me because there is great economic activity and the vision of the Premier (Abang Johari) is very interesting,” he said.
The meeting, which lasted for half an hour, also discussed Sarawak’s potential in infrastructure, aerospace technology and digitization.

“These are some areas and items that Turkiye is good at and we have different companies working in this direction,” he said.

Also present was Sarawak Regional Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fenny Nuli.
