Tunku Mahkota Ismail discussed infrastructure development projects in Johor
JOHOR BAHRU: Acting Sultan of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, agreed to discuss various projects involving the development of infrastructure and facilities for the people in Johor.
Through a post on Tunku Mahkota Ismail’s Facebook, the discussion involved Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor Government Secretary Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani and State Finance Officer Datuk Mohammed Ridha Abd Kadir.
The dispatch informed that among the matters discussed were the proposal to build a new elevated crossing at Link Kedua, the construction project of a dam and riverside water reservoir in Sungai Sedili Besar, as well as the conservation program of Sungai Skudai in Kulai and Johor Bahru districts.
Also discussed is the state’s high-impact special project, namely the proposed development of Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (E-ART) for the public transport system in Iskandar Malaysia and the proposed construction of the East Coast Expressway Phase 4 (LPT4) from Mersing-Kota Tinggi-Johor Bahru.
“These projects are in line with the priorities of the Acting Sultan of Johor to develop infrastructure, improve people’s facilities and improve the state’s economy,” according to the message today.
Also present in the discussion were Finance Ministry Treasury Secretary-General Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, Finance Ministry National Budget Office Director Datuk Shahrol Anuwar Sarman and Economy Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Nor Azmie Diron.
