Three furniture factories in Sungai Buloh burned down
SUNGAI BULOH : Three furniture factories were destroyed in a fire near Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh here on Sunday.
One of the factories was completely destroyed while the other two were destroyed by about 60 percent.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department’s (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations and Fire Department, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said, he received an emergency call regarding the incident at about 12.20pm.
“A total of 67 firemen were assigned to carry out the extinguishing work, namely from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) assisted by the Damansara Fire and Rescue Station, the Shah Alam Fire Brigade, the Petaling Jaya Fire Brigade, the North Klang Fire Brigade and the Bukit Jelutong Fire Brigade.
“In addition, firefighting also involved members from BBP Selayang, BBP Taman Tun
Dr Ismail and BBP Seri Hartamas,” he said in a statement here, on Sunday.
Ahmad Mukhlis said, however, the incident did not involve injury or death.
He said, his party is still investigating the cause of the fire.
