The public is asked to refer to the JaPen guidebook on the correct procedure for flying the Jalur Gemilang
KOTA BHARU: The Malaysian Information Department (JaPen) asks the public to refer to the guide book titled ‘Bendera Kita Jalur Gemilang’ issued by the department to know the procedure for flying the Jalur Gemilang in the right way.
Senior Director (Management) of JaPen, Naim Fahmi Ahmad Tajuddin, said the procedure guide can also be found on all JaPen social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and even Twitter.
He said the procedural guidelines for flying the Jalur Gemilang are very important to respect the national flag, thus avoiding mistakes in its installation that could touch sensitivities.
“This guidebook contains information published on all platforms; we inform you how to hang the Jalur Gemilang, including for the banting type, triangular and so on,” said the reporter after officiating the Launching Ceremony of the National Month and Waving of the Jalur Gemilang 2024 at the Kelantan State Level in Dataran Insights from Datuk Azis Yacub, Royal Malaysian Customs Department, here on Monday.
Also present were Kelantan JaPen Director Muhd Nor Aswadi Md Nor and Kota Lama State Assembly Member Hafidzah Mustakim.
On Sunday, the media reported that the police arrested an elderly person to help investigate the incident of the Jalur Gemilang being installed upside down in a building premises in Jalan Dato Sagor, Kuala Kangsar. – BERNAMA
