The Chief of Police of Indonesia, the Philippines was the first to receive the DKPP from the Agong
KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim today conferred the title of Commander-in-Chief of Police (PGPP) to Indonesian Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Philippine Police Chief Rommel Francisco D Marbil.
The two top police officers from Indonesia and the Philippines led 100 medal recipients, including four senior officers of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), at the 2024 Police Force Heroism and Bravery Medal (DKPP) Awards Ceremony, which took place at the Istana Negara Seri Hall here.
His Majesty also awarded PGPP to four senior PDRM officers, namely Director of Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department Datuk Seri Khaw Kok Chin, Deputy Director of Special Branch E1 Bukit Aman Datuk Samsudin Basir, Deputy Director of Special Branch I Bukit Aman Datuk Ahmad Ramdzan Daud, and Deputy Director Management (Policy and Human Resources Division) Bukit Aman Management Department Datuk Mohd Roze Shaari.
Also attending the ceremony was the King Queen Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah.
At the ceremony, His Majesty was also pleased to award the Rank of Loyal Commander of the Police Force to eight recipients: Police Force Warriors (18 recipients), Police Force Knights (10 recipients), and Police Force Heralds (58 recipients).
The awarding of the DKPP is given to officers and members of other ranks who are qualified for the services and sacrifices poured into the PDRM service.
Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.
