The August 2024 Supplementary Electoral Roll is open for review – SPR
KUALA LUMPUR: The revision of the Supplementary Voter Register for the month of August 2024 (DPT BLN8/2024) can be done for a period of 30 days starting today until next Oct 22, said Election Commission (SPR) Secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak.
He said DPT BLN8/2024, which was certified and gazetted today, contained 41,498 names of citizens aged 18 and above in the period 1 to 31 August 2024 who were automatically registered as new voters.
In addition, it contains 7,130 registered voters who changed electoral divisions and 1,551 voters who changed voter status or category.
“The EC calls on citizens aged 18 and above during the period 1 to 31 August 2024 and any registered voters who have applied for a change of electoral division or change of status to check their names in DPT BLN8/2024,” he said in a statement today.
Ikmalrudin said the EC provides five review methods, which are through the EC portal at the link https://www.spr.gov.my or https://mysprsemak.spr.gov.my, the official portal of the state election offices at the link http://ppn.spr.gov.my, and online applications at the link https://myspr.spr.gov.my.
Other methods include the MySPR Semak mobile application and the voter registration check line at 03-8892 7218.
In addition, Ikmalrudin said if the elector finds that the name is not listed in DPT BLN8/2024, a claim can be made by filling out Form C through the online application at the link https://myspr.spr.gov.my or attending the relevant State Election Office.
A registered voter in a constituency who wishes to object to the entry of the name of a voter who has changed to his constituency must fill out Form D through the online application at the link https://myspr.spr.gov.my or attend the Electoral Office Raya State in question.
Form C and Form D can also be downloaded from the State Election Offices portal at the link http://ppn.spr.gov.my and must be submitted to the relevant State Election Director to submit and pay the objection fee during office hours on working days throughout the review period of DPT BLN8/2024.
