The carollers, who were part of the “A Christmas Carol, Sarawak in Diversity” event, surpassed the initial target of 1,500 to set a new record for the largest Christmas carol gathering in the country.

Among the participants were those from St Ann Church, Association of Churches Sarawak, St Mark Church, St Joseph Cathedral, Holy Trinity Church, Sarawak Evangelical Church and Sarawak Blessed Church (SECA), Ngajat Asal Iban (NGASI) Association and the Taoist community.
There were also participants from the Buddhist community, the Hindu community, the Sikh community and the Baha’i community.
The carollers belted out several Christmas favourites, including “O Holy Night”, “Feliz Navidad”, “Carols of the Bells”, “Deck the Halls”, and “12 Days of Christmas”.
The event was organised by Unifor and supported by TV Sarawak and will be aired on December 23.
