PRK Kuala Kubu Baharu: A Contest By Gerakan

Shah Alam: Malaysian People’s Movement Party (Gerakan) have resolved to run in the upcoming May 11 Kuala Kubu Bharu By-Election (PRK).

The party is prepared to consider any scenario, according to a statement from its president, Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai, because serving the people of Kuala Kubu Bharu and ensuring the National Alliance’s (PN) win in the by-election is the party’s top priority.

“Gerakan will continue to operate its service centers to assist people regardless of race.

“This by-election is a referendum by the people on the Unity Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” he said on Facebook.

PN declared on Wednesday that it would field candidates capable of winning the relevant by-election.

PN Selangor’s Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, declared that PN will be represented in the by-election by whoever can garner more support and win the race for the party.

He claims that a number of names have been shortlisted and that the name of the chosen applicant will be revealed shortly.

Previously, in the 15th General Election (PRU15), Gerakan also contested for the same seat but lost.
