Prasarana confirms Cybersecurity incident, working towards mitigation measures

KUALA LUMPUR Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has confirmed the social media posts related to cyber security incidents involving part of their internal systems.

Our cyber security team has identified and is currently addressing such incidents involving unauthorized access to some of our systems, as stated in a press statement.

“We are managing and dealing with this situation and also working with cyber security experts to investigate and take mitigation measures.

“We are also working with National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and Cybersecurity Malaysia to ensure that all steps are taken.

” This collaborative effort aims to provide a comprehensive response and protect our systems.”

Our focus remains on solving problems immediately as well as ensuring that our services continue to meet the needs of the public.

Prasarana was responding to social media reports that potentially 316 GB of its data from its website has been compromised because of a ransomware attack.
