Police investigating allegations of bullying at a boarding school in KL
KUALA LUMPUR: The police are investigating an alleged incident of bullying involving the son of a singer and several other individuals at a boarding school in the capital city.
Dang Wangi District Police Chief ACP Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said so far he has received five reports regarding the issue.
“Investigation papers have been opened according to Section 323 of the Penal Code and we have recorded the victim’s statement,” he said in a statement today.
Today’s media reported that a 51-year-old singer revealed that his 14-year-old son was being bullied and was upset with the school’s alleged actions that were not only insensitive but also that no action was taken against the bullying problem at the school.
In addition, there are other parents at the same school who revealed that their children were bullied by six students at the institution since the end of last year until now.
