The matter was confirmed by Putrajaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner A Asmadi Abdul Aziz.

“We will apply for a remand order at the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court tomorrow morning,” he said in a statement here on Sunday.

It is understood that the arrest is related to the disclosure of allegations of corruption by the highest officers of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RLDM).

The investigation was conducted in accordance with Section 203A of the Penal Code, Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act 1972 (OSA) and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
