Op Global: 206 bank accounts worth RM1.35 million belonging to GISB frozen – KPN
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 206 accounts related to Global Ikhwan Services and Business (GISB) Holdings Sn Bhd involving a value of more than RM1.35 million have been frozen so far.
Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, said the action involved 205 bank accounts worth RM1.35 million and one bank account worth US$1,344.26 (RM5,688.80).
According to him, the freezing of accounts and property related to GISB was carried out in accordance with Section 44(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing and Proceeds of Illegal Activities (AMLATFPUAA) 2001 (Act 613).
“In addition, we also confiscated 19 cars and a truck, RM16,850 in cash, two Amazfit brand watches estimated to be worth RM600 and various types of animals estimated to be worth RM230,000,” he said when contacted here on Thursday.
Razarudin informed that the confiscation action was carried out in accordance with Section 45(2) AMLATFPUAA 2001 (Act 613).
