Malaysian Indian People’s Party applies to join Perikatan Nasional
PETALING JAYA — The Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) will make an official application to join Perikatan Nasional (PN) said party president SP Punithan.
He said this decision was made during today’s central committee meeting, aligning with the mandate given at its special general meeting on November 26.
During a press conference at Bandar Sunway, Punithan, the former Selangor MIC Youth chief said the party advisory committee will also be formed, comprising leaders, activists, and former leaders with political, corporate, and community backgrounds.
The party registered in 2019 will welcome and be open to collaborating with all stakeholders within the Indian community to defend their interests.
“One of the main agendas of the party is to introduce a new framework for the economic development agenda of the Indian community and to meet the present demands as well as the needs of the community.
“The party is also planning to attract more youth members to join and organize a series of nationwide roadshows taking into account suggestions from youths, professionals, entrepreneurs, NGOs, and community leaders,” he said.
