Malaysia-Thailand Foreign Minister chairman of cooperation meeting, border development
KUALA LUMPUR: Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and his Thai counterpart, Maris Sangiampongsa, chaired the 15th Joint Commission Meeting for Bilateral Cooperation and the 6th Joint Development Strategy Meeting for the Border Area between Malaysia and Thailand in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday. .
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, in its official Facebook page, said the two ministers discussed the progress of bilateral cooperation, including political and security affairs, economics, tourism, social and cultural relations, and connectivity in border areas.
Both sides also touched upon regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The two ministers also discussed and followed up on the results of discussions between the two leaders, Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Thai Prime Minister Srettha
Thavisin, during a meeting in Rantau Panjang and Sungai Golok on August 3, according to the dispatch.
