PUTRAJAYA: The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) will ensure the government’s goal to mandate the use of e-Invoicing for all taxpayers by July 1, 2025, is realized.

In a statement today, LHDN announced that the first phase of e-Invoicing implementation will begin on August 1, involving companies with annual revenue or sales exceeding RM100 million.

“The second phase will involve companies with annual revenue or sales between RM25 million and RM100 million,” the statement said.

The announcement was made during a dialogue session between LHDN Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr. Abu Tariq and 42 Malaysian trade associations, involving more than 110 business members, at a hotel here yesterday.

LHDN stated that this session was one of the main agendas to provide a platform for associations and LHDN to interact more closely in discussing mutual interests, especially regarding taxation.

“Recognizing the important role played by associations in shaping economic growth through business transactions,

“This initiative also aims to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of businesses among members,” the statement added.
