Johor appreciates the commitment of the police to save Albertine Leo – Onn Hafiz
KUALA LUMPUR: Albertine Leo Jia Hui’s daughter, who was reported missing after being believed to have been kidnapped at Eco Galleria, Iskandar Puteri, last Saturday, is now in good condition.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to find and rescue Albertine.
“The police are investigating this case. However, I would like to inform you that Albertine Leo’s sister is in good condition and is safe in the arms of her loved ones,” he said in a link on his official Facebook page on Thursday.
Onn Hafiz also held a meeting with Johor Police Chief, Commissioner M Kumar, at the Child Interview Center (CIC) in Gelang Patah, Iskandar Puteri.
“Thank you, Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). To appreciate the PDRM’s efforts to find and rescue Albertine Leo’s sister, I have personally met the Johor Police Chief to express my appreciation.
“The relentless dedication and commitment of the PDRM is a symbol of their sincerity in maintaining the peace and security of our state.
“I am confident that with the enthusiasm and efficiency displayed by them, this country will definitely continue to be peaceful and prosperous. Hopefully, their efforts and sacrifices will always be blessed and praised by all Malaysians,” he said.
Albertine, 6, was noticed missing by her father at about 8.30 last Saturday at a business center in Iskandar Puteri.
The child was later found safe in a cheap hotel near Batang Kali, Selangor, at 4.45 on Tuesday.
