Heat wave in France triggers orange alert in 41 departments

Paris: The French Meteorological Service, Meteo France, issued an orange alert for 41 departments in the southern and central regions on Monday over an ongoing heat wave.

Extreme heat continues to affect France, which is hosting the Paris Olympics for the first time in 100 years.

Meteo France issued an orange alert for 41 departments located in central and southern France, fearing an increase in the number to 45 in the Indre, Nievre, Saone-et-Loire, and Jura regions.

Temperatures are expected to range between 35 °C (95 °F) and 38 °C (100 °F) at the beginning of the week and are predicted to persist until July 31.

Weather forecasts suggest that Europe is experiencing its hottest summer yet.

The impact of these conditions on the Olympic Games in Paris, which will continue until August 11, has been a topic of concern.
