Global Op: Police will call GISBH Executive Chairman
KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will summon Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holding (GISBH) Executive Chairman Datuk Nasiruddin Mohd Ali to assist in the investigation in Op Global.
However, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain did not say when Nasiruddin would be called, insisting that it would be determined by the police.
He at the same time denied that the police had any discussion with the GISBH.
“There was no discussion with me; there was no discussion with Datuk Seri (Shuhaily). So we don’t know. With whom he met, he did not say.
“He will be called. There we will investigate with whom he met, discussed, or collaborated,” he said at a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Center (Pulapol) today.
Also present is Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Director, Datuk Seri Shuhaily Mohd Zain.
In the meantime, he informed me that the Ministry of Health has completed the health screening of the 392 child victims who were rescued.
Of that number, 202 victims were boys, while 192 were girls.
“As a result of the screening, we have indeed found that there are elements of physical and emotional crime that have occurred.
“It requires further evaluation in terms of emotional evaluation of the victims we saved,” he said.
He added that the elements of crime that were detected were physical and emotional abuse, child grooming, and child labor—being forced to work when they were under 18 years old.
In addition, the police also identified that there was an element of neglect towards the victim, which in turn led to malnutrition in the child.
