He said that Faisal is receiving treatment at a Petaling Jaya private hospital and that his condition is now stable. He continued by saying that at 5:51 PM on Sunday, they got reports about the case from the general public.
“Petaling Jaya police received information from the public via the Emergency Response Services 999 call reporting that a national football player was splashed with a suspected acid liquid.
“The incident occurred while he was at a leading supermarket in the Kota Damansara area of Petaling Jaya,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
He also urged members of the public with information about the case to contact the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to assist in the investigation.
