Enjoy the country atmosphere in conjunction with Putrajaya Park Day 2024
PUTRAJAYA: The Putrajaya Park Day which was held for the first time at the Agricultural Heritage Park in Precinct 16 here from today until tomorrow features a rural atmosphere in the city with various traditional activities available for visitors.
With the theme of ‘Remembering the Olden Days’, activities that visitors can do include playing traditional games such as congkak and sepak raga, catching eels in the rice fields, planting rice and stirring dodol.
Putrajaya Corporation President (PPj) Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud said the Putrajaya Garden Day, which is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors, aims to highlight the importance of gardens in residential areas and give the surrounding residents the opportunity to enjoy the produce in the garden.
“Entrance is free and visitors can also enjoy a buffet sale of local fruits such as durian, rambutan and mangosteen at a price of RM10 for adult visitors and RM5 for children aged seven and above,” he told reporters after the inauguration of Putrajaya Park Day here. today.
The ceremony was officiated by the Prime Minister’s wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail who also spent almost two hours in the park.
Meanwhile, PPj in a statement mentioned that the organization of Putrajaya Park Day also aims to promote the uniqueness and diversity of the 12 public parks in Putrajaya thus making them a domestic and international tourist attraction.
The Agricultural Heritage Park was developed to preserve Malaysia’s heritage and agriculture by offering the uniqueness of an urban hamlet with an agro-tourism concept.
