Display the triple Petronas Towers, ad agency apologizes

SHAH ALAM: An advertising agency, Wow Media Sdn Bhd, apologized for the mistake regarding the digital advertisement that showed the Petronas Towers as triplets after being generated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

Wow Media Sdn Bhd said in a statement that it had identified an error in the visual displayed on the screen and immediately deleted the visual.

“We would like to inform about the issue that occurred with the visual ‘Happy National Day by Brickfields District Police Headquarters’ displayed on the screen in Hartamas.

“Therefore, we apologize for any confusion that may have arisen and will re-evaluate the procedure to avoid any similar problems in the future,” he said.

Before that, an official poster of the 67th National Day celebrations from the Brickfields District Police Office showing the Petronas Towers as triplets went viral on social media.

On the poster, the twin towers lose their identity after appearing with an additional tower.
