British rock band Placebo shows support for Palestine at Istanbul concert
Istanbul: On stage in Istanbul, British alternative rock band Placebo used their platform to show support for Palestine.
During their Sunday performance, frontman and guitarist Brian Molko tweaked the lyrics of their song Try Better Next Time to “Free Palestine,” highlighting the band’s support for the Palestinian cause.
Placebo, which also includes bassist Stefan Olsdal and drummer Steve Forrest, thrilled the audience with its popular hits such as Taste in Men, Every You Every Me, For What It’s Worth, and The Bitter End.
They closed the concert with a cover of Kate Bush’s classic Running Up That Hill – recently popular due to the TV series Stranger Things – a song Placebo have been paying tribute to for years.
