Art of Speed 2026 Returns in August with 54 Musicians Headlining SoundCircus Festival
KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 — Malaysia’s renowned automotive lifestyle festival Art of Speed 2026 (AOS 2026) is preparing for its return this August, bringing together custom car culture, music and creative arts in a two-day celebration at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).
The event, scheduled for August 1 and 2, marks the 15th edition of the festival, which has evolved into one of Southeast Asia’s most recognised gatherings for custom automotive enthusiasts and creative communities.
Alongside automotive showcases, fashion displays and pop culture exhibitions, the festival will once again feature the SoundCircus music festival, one of its most anticipated highlights.
This year’s SoundCircus will showcase 54 musicians and DJs performing across six stages within a four-acre concert area designed to host large crowds of music fans.
Festival director Asep Ahmad Iskandar said the upcoming edition represents a new chapter for the festival as it continues expanding its influence within the regional creative industry.
He explained that SoundCircus was first introduced in 2017 to provide a platform for Malaysia’s independent and underground music scene.
Initially organised as a smaller showcase, the event quickly grew in popularity and was transformed into an outdoor festival at MAEPS in 2019, attracting more than 5,000 attendees.
Since then, SoundCircus has become one of the most recognised alternative music festivals connected to automotive lifestyle culture.
For the 2026 edition, organisers have curated several special performance concepts that combine artists from different musical backgrounds and generations.
One of the most highly anticipated performances will be the collaboration between Indonesian rock band Cokelat and Malaysian rock legend Ella, presented under the concept “Takhta Ratu Nusantara.”
Another notable performance will feature Jemson and Def Gab C in a concept titled “Legends X Renegades,” bringing together veteran rock performers and younger musicians.
The band Slatan will also celebrate their musical journey with a dedicated showcase performance, while Issey and The Clique will present a unique performance concept titled “Dikir Kustom,” blending traditional storytelling music with modern custom culture aesthetics.
Festivalgoers can also expect the “Power Pop Yeah Yeah” collaboration between pop duo Couple and veteran singer Adnan Othman.
In addition, the festival will pay tribute to the regional hardcore music movement through a performance segment titled “30 Years of Asian Hardcore.”
The first two phases of artist announcements have already revealed dozens of performers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Japan.
Among the confirmed artists are The Jansen, Masdo, Midnight Fusic, Sweetass, Johny Comes Lately, Second Combat, Krusty and After Midnight, along with DJs DJ Queizham, DJ Miko Naiko and DJ Creamminalsm.
The second phase added international performers such as Nadin Amizah, Tenxi, High Therapy, Straight Answer and Johnny Pandora, alongside several collaborative performances.
Singaporean acts including Moneybag, Empty Page, Tricks, Ya Bunayya, Piponation, Ruckyard, Omnisync, K.O.I, Paylark, Nemesys, Citykops and Overthrown are also part of the lineup.
Asep said additional performers will be revealed soon as part of the festival’s third artist announcement phase.
The event is supported by Tourism Selangor, which is working with organisers to strengthen the state’s reputation as a regional hub for cultural tourism and creative industries.
Organisers believe the festival will attract large numbers of both local visitors and international tourists, boosting the tourism, hospitality and entertainment sectors.
Tickets for Art of Speed 2026 are priced at RM35, while SoundCircus festival tickets are available in several tiers ranging from RM89 to RM388 depending on the package selected.
Ticket sales began on February 1 for the first phase and continued on March 12 for the second phase, with the third ticket release expected soon.
With its combination of custom car showcases, live music, art and pop culture attractions, Art of Speed 2026 is expected to once again stand out as one of Malaysia’s biggest lifestyle festivals of the year.
