A Taman Sri Muda ice cream shop employee was injured by a masked man
SHAH ALAM: An employee of an ice cream shop in Taman Sri Muda here almost died after being stabbed by a masked individual in a robbery on Monday.
Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, said the incident happened at about 11.30 when the victim, a 21-year-old local woman, was working alone at the shop.
“The victim, who was working alone while waiting for his friend to come on duty, was approached by a male suspect wearing a face mask and armed with a paper cutter.
“The suspect acted aggressively by stabbing the victim, who tried to defend himself,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the victim was then taken to Shah Alam Hospital for further treatment.
“So far, there has been no loss to the victim or the company where the victim works,” he said.
According to him, the suspect’s face was successfully recorded through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the scene of the incident.
“Efforts are being made by the police to locate and arrest the suspect as soon as possible.

The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
