Youth Urged to Respond Wisely to Religious Sensitivities, MBWP Calls for Calm and Maturity

KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 — Young people in Malaysia have been urged to act with wisdom and emotional maturity when addressing sensitive religious matters to protect national harmony.

Federal Territory Youth Council (MBWP) president Khairul Rizam Abu Samah said youth responses to such issues reflect their character and influence the stability of society.

He said Ramadan is a time to practise patience, discipline, and thoughtful decision-making.

Avoid emotional reactions that could harm unity

Khairul Rizam warned that emotional responses could undermine the unity Malaysians have built over generations.

He stressed that Malaysia’s strength lies in mutual respect and tolerance.

He said youth must understand their responsibility in maintaining peace.

He added that maturity is essential in facing challenges responsibly.

Youth should become agents of unity

He said young people must play a positive role in bringing communities together.

He encouraged youth to promote dialogue and understanding.

He expressed confidence that youth have the potential to become responsible leaders.

Ramadan programs strengthen community values

About 200 youth volunteers participated in preparing and distributing bubur lambuk in Kampung Bharu.

The initiative reflected the spirit of volunteerism among young Malaysians.

MBWP also donated eyeglasses to 30 students to support their education.

Khairul Rizam said the contribution would help students pursue their goals with confidence.

Spiritual development builds strong character

The event also included Quran recitation sessions involving youth participants.

He said spiritual growth plays an important role in shaping values and leadership.

He added that youth with strong principles are essential for the nation’s future.
