141 Hulu Bernam flood victims are still taking shelter at PPS tonight

SHAH ALAM: A total of 141 flood victims from 49 families in Hulu Bernam are still sheltering in a temporary evacuation center (PPS) tonight, a slight decrease compared to the 143 victims last evening.

The Hulu Selangor District Disaster Management Secretariat informed that the situation around PPS Kampung Sekolah Community Hall was reported to be under control, with the weather tonight being good.

The PPS accommodates victims from six affected villages, namely Kampung Sungai Selisik, Kampung Serigala, Kampung Sungai Nilam, Kampung Sekolah, Kampung Masjid and Kampung Paya Lebar.

Earlier, Bernama reported that the flood situation in Muallim district, Perak, had recovered when the only PPS housing 82 victims from 19 families was closed this afternoon.

The Secretariat of the Perak Disaster Management Committee informed all the victims who took shelter at PPS Dewan Kampung Pauh Behrang Station that they were allowed to return to their respective homes.
